Requests for prescription drug refills may be placed by e-mail or by telephone. E-mail RequestsE-mail will be checked once daily in the morning at 10:00 a.m. and you will be called when your pet's prescription is ready, which should be by 2:00 p.m. that day. Orders received after 10:00 a.m. will be processed on the next business day. Unfortunately, some medications cannot be refilled without a prior exam or a blood test. We will call you and inform you if this is the case, and set up an appointment time that is convenient for you. Telephone RequestsIf a telephone request for a prescription drug refill is made we will provide you with information about whether the medication is in stock, if an exam or blood test is necessary, and what time the prescription will be ready to be picked up at the time of your call. Special-Order Prescription MedicationsA few of the drugs that we prescribe are not kept in stock, and must be special-ordered. Once our staff has received your request - by telephone or by e-mail - and has placed an order, you will be called with an estimate on the time of the drug's arrival. We will call again once the drug is in-hospital and is ready to go. Please inform us if your pet will run out of this medication prior to the refill arriving. We may be able to provide a small amount of the drug to tide you over until the full prescription has arrived. Please note that prescription drugs may only be dispensed to a client of the Manotick Veterinary Hospital for a pet currently under our medical supervision. Make an E-mail Prescription Drug Refill
