Our veterinarians firmly believe in the value of preventive medicine.  We recommend annual health exams and vaccinations, Heartworm testing and preventive medication, fecal examinations, dental prophylaxis, and medical diets for specific health problems and life-stages.

We offer wellness screens for younger animals.  These blood tests give us a baseline in case a health problem occurs, and sometimes detect a health problem in its early stages which was not yet suspected.

We also recommend blood tests and other diagnostic procedures for the older pet (senior screens) in order to detect health problems early.  The early detection of disease allows early treatment and hopefully will permit a pet a longer and healthier life.  February and March are "Senior Months" at the Manotick Veterinary Hospital.  If you have not yet received a flyer, please call for details.

Please ask us about the preventive medicine appropriate for your pet.
